Your mobile can be an indispensable tool for communication with your business or your home one of this decades really useful innovations. But it doesn't always mix with motoring. Used properly, it can be legal, it can be sensible; used otherwise, it can be downright dangerous and even put you in jail for up to two years.

These are the only rules you need to remember and to impose on employees who may drive for you:

• Never use a hand-held phone while driving
• Use your hands-free mobile phone only when its safe to do so
• Keep conversations easy - finish difficult calls immediately
