What types of APRS membership are there?
The APRS offers four classes of membership, each with different rates of
subscription and different privileges. Payment of the moderate annual
subscription enables all members, affiliates and associates to enjoy
discounts on courses, publications, insurance, and other initiatives
of the Association.
Full Member:
Eligible for full membership (subject to qualification):
- Recording Studios, Mobiles and Post-Production facilities
- Pressing and Duplicating firms
- Record producers
- Manufacturers and Distributors
- Consultancies, Educational bodies, Hire firms and similar services
Full members have voting rights, they receive a membership certificate
and membership plaque, and are encouraged to use the APRS logo on their
stationery and advertising. Studios are the main full membership of the APRS, while Suppliers support the Association in many ways.
Affiliate
This membership is available to studios which do not meet 'full member'
status, because they offer either limited or specialised services.
Affiliates receive a certificate of membership, but do not have voting rights.
Educational Member
Educational members are the future of the Industry. They train tomorrow's engineers and performing talents, and should have a voice in the way the Industry progresses. APRS Educational Membership offers just that.
Associate
In this category the APRS welcomes individuals who can demonstrate a
professional committment and wish to enjoy certain membership facilities.
Associates receive a certificate of membership, but do not have voting
rights, nor the right to use the Association's plaque or logo.
