Forecast on Grants
Participants are obliged to complete a questionnaire after the event and they
must submit copies of relevant proofs of
payment to APRS, so an application for grant can be made on their behalf.
Forecast on payout of grants: 1st batch of
claims - December 2001, 2nd batch of claims - February 2002 depending on
participants prompt return of questionnaires
and proofs of payment.
Foreign Goods
The purpose of the grant is to promote goods and services exported from the UK.
Your stand display is expected to represent
the business, as identified in the DTI grant application, whose presence at the
exhibition is primarily to develop exports
from the UK. The display of goods or services of other source is permitted but
must be secondary. As Sponsor, the APRS is
obliged to check at the Event for compliance with this requirement and failure
to comply could render a company ineligible
for grant.
Basic Rule of Eligibility
Your company must be registered in the UK, exhibit predominantly UK
products/services and submit the application
to the APRS for consideration prior to the cut-off date.
Number of Funded Participations - Core Events
AES (USA) is a designated core event
and UK companies are eligible for funding at
AES events held anywhere in the USA twice in any ten-year period. Funded
participations at the AES (USA) does not
affect your company s eligibility for funding at AES (Europe) (also a core
event), or at other events held in the
USA.
N.B. Non-core events:
UK companies are eligible to receive funding five times at USA events in any
ten-year period (five times for the USA, Japan and
China, three times for all other countries )in addition to funding for participation
at core events.
APRS Event Management Fee
If your company is eligible for
grants the fee will be deducted from your grant. If your
company is ineligible but wishes to be within the delegation, you will need to
pre-pay the fee.
